Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Quality Tech to support manufacturing operations through the company’s Quality disciplines and tools. The role focuses on risk mitigation, error proofing, and proactive problem solving to ensure products meet customer requirements.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of manufacturing experience, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to work with engineers and shop personnel to follow procedures and customer specs. A pre-employment drug screen is required.

Qualifications

• 4 years’ manufacturing experience or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and interpret technical data and engineering drawings.
• Experience with quality tools and problem solving (8D, 5 Why, etc.).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety objectives and promote safety culture.
• Support the Quality system and train others as needed.
• Assist manufacturing in improving quality and mistake-proofing processes.
• Collect data, run capability studies, interpret charts, and solve problems.
• Perform inspections, data gathering, containment, and corrective actions.
• Lead and/or train others in quality methods when required.
• Maintain calibration records for measurement equipment.
• Conduct PPAP functional and dimensional trials as needed.
• Communicate quality issues to engineers and supervisors promptly.
