Wieland North America, Inc. in Delaware, OH is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure product integrity and compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. You will lead supplier quality, CAPA, PPAP, and audits while collaborating with Production, Receiving, and Customers to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a BS in Materials/Engineering, experience with QA tools and SAP/Factory Suite, and willingness to travel to suppliers as needed. On-site position with strong lean culture.

Qualifications

• BS in Material Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ISO certifications.
• Experience with QA tools: PPAP, Process FMEA, Control Plan, Risk Assessment, Internal Audits, Gauge Management and Calibration.
• Willingness to travel to suppliers and other locations.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and LEAN tools/techniques.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience in a similar industry is beneficial.
• Proficient in SAP, Factory Suite, data entry, daily/monthly reports, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports the department by sustaining current processes and driving opportunities for continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (SOPs, Work Instructions, Quality Records).
• Responsible for managing supplier quality claims and supporting customer claims and quality requests; leads or supports root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Serves as primary quality interface for supplier development activities, focusing on North American suppliers with performance monitoring and corrective actions.
• Owns supplier-related quality topics and documentation, including PPAPs, 8D reports, deviations, waivers, and supplier change/concession requests.
• Coordinates quality control activities for incoming parts and materials, including inspection planning, sampling, non-conformance handling, and collaboration with Receiving/Production/Suppliers.
• Supports ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications through internal audits and external audit readiness.
• Tracks, analyzes, and reports Quality KPIs to Management with data-driven insights.
