Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience with continuous improvement methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
• Strong project management with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Previous test experience in an environmental test lab, reliability, electronics, manufacturing, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to drive activities to ensure and improve quality and reliability of Garmin products across the product life cycle.
• Review customer quality data and communicate feedback and corrective actions across customer areas.
• Drive timely issue resolution through regular reviews of single issues list.
• Analyze data from product inspection, sales/return data, and Product Support to improve products and processes.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to fulfill customer contractual requirements (PPAP, FMEA, capability studies, gage studies) and participate in ECO reviews.
• Provide statistical analysis to meet operations, manufacturing, engineering, supplier or customer requirements.
• Provide training for continuous improvement methodologies, problem-solving methodologies, statistical techniques and quality tools.
• Support supplier quality issues resolution with Global Supply Chain.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Reliability, Materials/Purchasing, Customer Repair, and Manufacturing to introduce new products into Manufacturing and improve production yield and quality.
