Job summary

Delta Faucet Company is seeking a Quality Team Leader to support daily operations on the production floor, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) metrics. You will lead by example, coordinate audits, and guide teams across shifts.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to develop team capabilities while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and problem solving on the line.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalence is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.
• Prior leadership or lead-person experience is preferred.
• Must demonstrate strong communication, organization, and accountability.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and production tracking systems.

Overview

The Quality Team Leader plays a critical role in supporting daily operations and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement on the production floor. Acting as a working leader, this role is responsible for coordinating quality audit activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing day-to-day guidance to team members. The Quality Team Leader models Delta Faucet Company’s core values by setting expectations, communicating clearly, and maintaining a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics. This position requires a hands‑on, people‑focused leader who can drive performance while developing team capabilities.

Key Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

Leadership & Communication

• Lead by example in safety, quality, attendance, and work ethic
• Communicate daily goals, changes, and expectations to team members
• Foster collaboration between shifts and departments
• Support conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment

Safety & Compliance

• Monitor work areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE usage
• Conduct daily safety checks and report or address hazards
• Participate in daily safety discussions and promote a proactive safety culture

Quality Oversight

• Ensure quality auditors meet daily audits per schedule and product meets quality standards
• Maintain readiness of quality audit equipment as well as calibrated quality measurement tools/ gages for production use.
• Adjust labor assignments to optimize staffing levels

Quality & Problem Solving

• Respond to and elevate quality non-conformances, working in collaboration with Production Team Leaders to resolve in real‑time
• Follow escalation procedures, including the Quality Hold process, when needed
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring problems

Continuous Improvement

• Encourage quality auditor involvement in quality process or production process improvement
• Support Kaizen events and problem‑solving workshops
• Assist in identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvements

Coaching & Development

• Train and cross‑train new and existing employees
• Provide performance feedback and recommend corrective actions when needed
• Support team engagement and recognition efforts

Daily Management & Leader Standard Work

Lead or participate in pre-shift GEMBA walks and Tier 1 huddles

• Provide shift-level updates and contribute to Tier 2 discussions as required
• Track and communicate quality metrics and corrective actions
• Track and document daily quality events, all logs related to quality hold cages and quality hold events.
• Execute and sustain daily Leader Standard Work (LSW) tasks including visual checks, standard audits, escalation protocols, and Team Leader shift reports

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalence
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
• Prior leadership or lead-person experience preferred
• Must demonstrate strong communication, organization, and accountability
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and production tracking systems

Must be able to:

• Lift, bend and reach, including below waist level and above shoulder level
• Lift, push and pull weights of up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs.occasionally
• Work daily overtime and weekend support as dictated by production schedule.
