Job summary

Hörmann North America is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for their Puyallup, WA facility. You will help administer the QMS, support audits, track quality data, and collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Engineering to drive improvements on the shop floor.

You will balance administrative duties with hands-on production floor support, ensuring standards are understood, followed, and continuously improved. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, operations, document control, or related role.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or a structured Quality Management System is preferred.
• Experience with nonconformance, corrective action, audits, inspections, or document control is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily administration and continued development of the QMS, including records, forms, procedures, and work instructions.
• Assist with document control to ensure current approved documents are available where needed.
• Track nonconforming material, containment activities, and product dispositions.
• Support customer complaint, corrective action, and quality issue tracking from follow-up to completion.
• Participate in structured problem-solving and root cause activities to prevent recurrence.
• Collect, organize, and analyze quality data; maintain reports and dashboards.
