Job summary

Focus is seeking a Quality System Manager to oversee and continually improve the Quality Management System. You will ensure compliance with manuals, lead internal and product audits, and manage non-quality costs while driving root-cause resolutions for customer or supplier issues.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing quality leadership, deep knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001, and strong cross-functional collaboration. On-site in Auburn, AL with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Business Management or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5+ years supervisory or quality management experience in manufacturing (Automotive experience a plus).
• Deep expertise in Quality Assurance principles, metrology, and industrial laboratory analysis.
• Advanced working knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and continuously improve the QMS and compliance with quality manuals.
• Plan and conduct internal QMS and product/process audits; evaluate compliance and effectiveness.
• Interface with customers and suppliers; lead investigations and verify corrective actions.
• Maintain authority to halt processes to prevent non-conformities.
• Track non-quality costs and drive department goals and corrective actions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Quality / Engineering / Business Management
