Job summary

Light Labs in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Quality Control Manager to own the day-to-day quality system across our two labs and decide when data is fit to release. You’ll drive CAPAs, investigations, and audit readiness, and serve as deputy to the Quality Director on site.

You'll work hands-on on the lab floor, ensuring instrument performance, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across ISO/IEC 17025. This role requires strong communication and leadership to elevate quality company-wide.

Qualifications

• Owned a quality subsystem end to end (CAPA, internal audit, document control, training, or method validation) in an accredited lab or regulated environment.
• Directly supported ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation assessments, with working knowledge of the standard.
• Led OOS and deviation investigations with root cause analysis and CAPA closure.
• Applied control chart methodology and QC trending in practice, not just on paper.
• Wrote investigations, SOPs, and audit responses that withstood review.
• Worked in LIMS and QMS software and speaks the terminology.
• A degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality subsystem end to end across two sites, ensuring data integrity and proper release of results.
• Drive internal audits, CAPAs, deviations, and investigations through closure.
• Maintain the ISO/IEC 17025 QMS, including document control and record retention.
• Ensure method validation, instrument performance, and calibration records are current.
