Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Quality Systems Execution Lead to drive cross-functional teams across Body and General Assembly operations, translating strategies into actionable plans and ensuring on-time project delivery.

You will lead engineers, coordinate with suppliers and plants, and advance measurement capability, product quality, and launch readiness while maintaining safety and compliance. Travel to plants and supplier sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience leading engineering projects or cross-functional teams in manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing project plans, technical requirements, schedules and risk responses.
• Experience with manufacturing operations, suppliers, and plant stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to coach and develop engineers or technical professionals.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site at plants and supplier locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of quality systems projects from requirements through design, procurement, installation, validation and production handoff.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, deliverables, risks and issue-resolution actions.
• Translate requirements into statements of requirements, specifications, acceptance criteria and work packages.
• Coordinate technical reviews with internal teams, plant operations, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Monitor project health and communicate status, risks and recovery plans to stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables support launch timing, operational readiness and long-term maintainability.
• Drive timely resolution of technical, supplier, installation and plant-readiness issues.
• Lead handoff to plant teams including training, support model and monitoring.
