Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a quality-focused professional to plan, direct, and maintain quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products in South Gate, CA. The role emphasizes auditing, data analysis, and continuous improvement using SPC and Six Sigma.

The position requires an Engineering degree and internship experience (0–2 years). Strong hands-on knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential, along with the ability to work with customer and regulatory

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical information.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community.
• Ability to write speeches and articles for publication.
• Ability to present information to management using PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Apply statistical tools for continual improvement using SPC data and histograms/Pareto charts.
• Strong understanding of statistics and Six Sigma applications preferred.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develops and revises quality systems procedures and audits internal procedures.
• Collaborates with customers and auditors to conduct audits and resolve problems.
• Designs sampling procedures and recording/reporting quality data.
• Maintains supplier quality performance and audits suppliers.
• Evaluates production and testing equipment for precision and accuracy.
• Implements disposition methods for discrepant material and tracks corrective actions.
• Investigates customer complaints and reports results to Sales.
• Guides staff on quality measurement and data analysis.
• Contributes to planning documents to ensure quality in production.
• Creates training materials and conducts quality control training.
