Job summary

Orion Steel Group, L.L.C. seeks a Quality Systems Coordinator at the RMSM seamless mill to maintain the Quality Assurance System, update quality records, train staff, and support audits. This role covers ISO 9001-2015/API-5CT documentation, test/report databases, and calibration and safety records in a structured manufacturing setting.

The position requires strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safe, compliant operations and continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy/Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Two years of Quality Assurance experience preferred.
• Familiar with Quality Management systems, preferred.
• Certified Quality Auditor, preferred.
• Experience in ISO 9001/API-5CT Quality Systems, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SOPs and confirm training has taken place when changes are made.
• Assist with updating the cloud-based EQMS system at RMSM.
• Conduct internal and external audits of processes and products.
• Assist with daily management and maintenance of the quality system; may require off-hour work.
• Manage calibration system, issue and record deviations.
• Report daily and monthly Quality Index information.
• Communicate product quality information and improvements to workforce.
