Orion Steel Group, L.L.C. seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead frontline quality personnel at the Pueblo Seamless Mill. You will drive safety, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; engineering degree preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment, steel preferred.
• Experience in supervisory or team-leader roles.
• Experience with ISO-based quality management systems.
• Experience performing dimensional inspections on metal products.
• Experience delivering technical training to diverse audiences.
• Proven experience with statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel) and root cause analysis.
• Experience participating in internal and external quality audits.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop quality inspectors and technicians to ensure safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Assign daily work activities, establish priorities, and monitor performance to meet objectives.
• Maintain and improve quality management systems, SOPs, and process control documentation.
• Oversee inspection and testing activities to ensure compliance with customer specs and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain quality control plans including nonconformance reaction plans.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct process and quality audits and incoming material inspections.
• Develop and deliver training to enhance technical knowledge and quality awareness.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Technical teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Promote safety by conducting observations and job hazard analyses.
