Qualifications

  • Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung in der Wartung von Flugzeugen.

Role Overview:

Under the direction of the Manager of Quality Systems and Safety, the Quality Systems and Safety Coordinator will carry out QA activities to monitor adherence to contractual requirements, specifications, procedures, and work instructions. They will also act as the MOB Flight Safety and General Safety representative.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide management and leadership for the Quality Assurance Department at the MOB.
  2. Implement and monitor the QMS, Flight Safety, and General Safety Programs at the MOB.
  3. Respond to the MOB Site Manager regarding quality and safety activities.
  4. Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with the QMS.
  5. Record, analyze, and report audit findings; recommend improvements.
  6. Initiate corrective actions and conduct follow-up verifications.
  7. Process Non-Conformance Reports and act upon results.
  8. Perform aircraft quality assurance checks as required.
  9. Review Airworthiness documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
  10. Interpret engineering standards, drawings, and manuals related to aircraft maintenance.
  11. Serve as the Flight Safety and General Safety Representative, including reporting and participating in safety committees.
  12. Promote hazard awareness, assist in incident investigations, and support risk assessments.
  13. Draft reports, maintain records, and prepare statistical reports.
  14. Liaise with departments and external bodies as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years in aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul.
  • At least 3 years in QA/QC roles.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Graduates of aerospace technical programs preferred.
  • Experience with ISO/AS9100 standards and internal audits.
  • Knowledge of engineering specifications and aircraft repair practices.
  • Proficient in report writing and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead discussions and audits.
  • Formal QA/Auditor training required.
  • Experience with aircraft inspection and test equipment.
  • Knowledge of DND Flight Safety or Transport Canada SMS is a plus.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Physical ability to work in aircraft environments and obtain necessary security clearances.
