Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Clay, New York, is seeking a Surveillance Quality Engineer to support the Quality Management System on a major field project. You will review quality requirements, monitor non-conformances, and guide corrective actions to mitigate risk.

The role requires strong knowledge of ISO 9001, experience conducting assessments, and collaboration with project teams across design, procurement, construction, and startup.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years in lieu of a degree.
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 standard requirements and quality assurance practices.
• Experience conducting assessments and interfacing with supervisors and customer quality representatives.

Responsibilities

• Supports quality surveillance activities per QMS and PQP.
• Prepares surveillance reports and annual project surveillance schedule.
• Reviews nonconforming conditions and corrective actions for quality program effectiveness.
• Ensures QMS compliance with project design documents and procedures.
• Supports causal analysis to develop corrective action plans.
• Communicates with project personnel across functions to resolve issues.
