Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Clay, NY is seeking an Auditor Specialist to support quality management on a major construction project, including data centers and semiconductor facilities. You will review project quality requirements, monitor regulatory changes, and drive corrective actions to mitigate performance risk.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 8–14 years in quality assurance for industrial construction, with strong audit leadership and ISO 9001 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 standard requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading assessments lifecycle.
• Experience applying QA to construction and engineering projects.
• Ability to implement QA programs in EPC environments.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs Auditor Specialist role on projects and supports annual Audit Schedule.
• Prepares audit reports and completion reports.
• Develops quality audit plans and conducts audits of QMS, PQP, and procedures for direct hire and subcontractor scopes.
• Audits and monitors project functions including management, engineering, procurement, construction, controls, commissioning, and startup.
• Reviews nonconforming conditions and corrective actions to ensure QMS compliance.
• Reports on quality procedures and manuals for compliance and initiates corrective actions.
• Prepares reports on effectiveness of QMS and participates in audit programs.
• Supports causal analysis with project personnel.
