Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I to support owner-side quality on a capital project. You write the surveillance plan, review contractor documents, and report status to the project quality lead.

The role blends field and documentation work, with travel to project sites. You’ll grow from internal auditor training to advanced surveillance responsibilities as you gain experience in ISO 9001 systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• Certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps.
• Clear written reporting.
• Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
