Job summary

Autokiniton in Michigan seeks an experienced Quality Supervisor/Manager to lead quality technicians and ensure adherence to IATF and ISO 14001 standards. You will mentor staff, drive Lean initiatives, and coordinate PPAP activities for new programs and changes.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on process improvement to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Applied Science in Manufacturing, Quality Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred.
• Six years as a quality or manufacturing supervisor; one year of management experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping and/or assembly processes.
• Interacts to facilitate overall plant synergy and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and teach problem solving methods.
• Experience applying lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to read/write English and perform mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in daily activities.
• Provide leadership for direct reports: mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action.
• Ensure product and process compliance to customer and IATF requirements.
• Coordinate standardization activities and cross-functional teams.
• Lead containment actions when quality issues are identified.
• Serve as focal point for customer contacts and feedback management.
• Oversee PPAP activities for new programs and changes.
• Assist in analyzing SPC data for process improvement.
• Drive a progressive quality system to prevent defects and meet customer expectations.
• Provide training and support for Quality Technicians and manufacturing colleagues.
• Interface with CMM programmers and Weld Assurance Technician on issues.
• Generate quality alerts and communicate on the production floor.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions; ensure PPE usage.
• Travel to customers, vendors and suppliers as necessary.
