Job summary

AUTOKINITON, a Michigan-based automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality policy implementation, PPAP submissions, and cross-functional problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, review PFMEA and Process Flow, support IATF16949 audits, and collaborate with suppliers, customers, and program managers to meet quality goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years in automotive quality engineering with PPAP/APQP experience.
• ASQ Certification preferred (Internal Auditor a plus).

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of all Quality policies and required operating procedures and work instructions.
• Initiate and facilitate cross-functional teams in pursuit of solving and mistake-proofing quality issues.
• Review, analyze, and approve supplier PPAP submissions and supplier audits.
• Work with cross-functional teams of customers, suppliers, Program Managers, and Plant staff to ensure products meet quality goals.
• Drive implementation of a progressive Quality system to prevent defects and meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Review, audit, and revise all necessary APQP documents including Process Flow, PFMEA, and Controls Plans.
• Supports internal as well as third-party IATF16949 Quality Management System audits.
• This full-time,salaried role is a part of our Quality Team and reports to the Quality Manager.
