Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Keosauqua, IA, is seeking a Quality Supervisor to ensure products and processes meet regulations, specifications and standards. You will lead a quality team, develop procedures, inspect products, and drive root-cause analysis for continuous improvement.

The role requires 3+ years in quality control with 2+ years in supervisory roles, plus proficiency with QC software and data analysis. Onsite work and strong cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in quality control, assurance, or a related role.
• Minimum of two years’ in management and/or leadership experience.
• Proficiency in quality control software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the quality control team, ensuring proper training and development.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, policies, and standards for production processes.
• Inspect and test products to ensure they meet company and industry quality standards.
• Document inspection outcomes, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for management.
• Identify recurring quality issues and collaborate with production teams to resolve them.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of quality control processes to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
• Manage nonconforming products, ensuring proper identification, segregation, and disposition
• Create process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with departmental leadership.
• Develops and maintains the highest quality standard – zero defects. Works continuously to improve all areas.
• Support cross functional teams in Continuous Improvement projects.
• Assist in implementation of QMS software.
• Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures and conduct associated training.
• Coordinates internal activities to investigate customer complaints and establish containment actions.
• Creates and monitors ICARs (internal Corrective Actions Request) to closure.
