Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Wickliffe, Ohio is seeking a Quality Supervisor to plan, schedule, and oversee hourly quality personnel. You will ensure visual and dimensional inspections meet requirements and production commitments.

You will supervise technicians and auditors, ensure proper training, analyze data, and drive continuous quality improvements across multiple locations, including travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have BS in engineering or other technical degree.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience in testing and inspection coordination or supervision.
• Detail oriented and well organized.
• Able to work in a high-paced, cross-functional team.
• Self-directed to accomplish team goals with minimum supervision.
• Demonstrate ability to meet short term goals and drive long term improvements.
• Strong interpersonal skills for daily interactions with direct reports, customers, suppliers, internal employees, and the quality team.
• Open to working overtime to support shipping and finishing schedules.
• Willing to travel as needed to other Northeast Ohio locations and vendors as well as Sanford, NC.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and track performance of Quality Department hourly employees.
• Ensure inspections, SPC checks, die layouts, calibrations, final audits, and source audits are conducted.
• Ensure adequacy of training of personnel and the quality of inspections.
• Ensure adherence to related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Monitor, analyze data, and drive improvements in incoming quality and productivity.
• Develop daily plans to hit shipping commitments.
• Schedule vacations and assist training needs to improve performance.
• Counsel employees on performance and conduct reviews.
• Communicate inspection issues to drive resolution using 8D or other tools.
