Job summary

The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field, HACCP and PCQI credentials, and proven leadership in a manufacturing setting, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
• HACCP certification and GFSI audits experience (FSSC 22000 or SQF) a plus.
• PCQI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for quality and food safety practices during operations.
• Maintains holds and develops CAPA using root cause analysis; monitor CAPA effectiveness.
• Manage quality and sanitation team: timecards, tasks, training and mentoring.
• Collaborate with production to monitor processes for effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Initiate, track and trend NCRs/CAPAs.
• Part of the internal audit team and participate in GMP audits.
• Coordinate pre-op, post-op, and glass/brittle plastic inspections.
• Communicate between management and quality staff for corporate and plant initiatives.
• Maintain the food safety plan and update SOPs as required.
• Ensure training on quality programs for associates at all levels.
• Interact with Ferrara supervisors and managers to share best practices.
• Perform and maintain environmental monitoring and product testing programs.
• Trend KPI data for the Quality Manager and assist in reports for senior leadership.
