Responsibilities

We are searching for a Laboratory Supervisor.

The Laboratory Supervisor will report directly to the Quality Manager and will be responsible to:

• Assign and direct the work of the laboratory personnel.
• Provide administrative and technical support for laboratory personnel.
• Provide orientation and train.
• Schedule goals and objectives and evaluate performance.
• Provide support for the quality assurance program.
• Review and validate analytical data that is reported to the Transportation Department, the Management Department and other Departments as required.
• Coordinate sample collection.
• Coordinate, develop and implement plans and quality assurance activities in the laboratory.
• Track inventory on lab resources and consumables.
• Complete tasks assigned by the Quality Manager.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Chemistry or related Technical Discipline or equivalent experience (5 plus years of lab experience in the cement or lime industry).
• Ability to supervise and direct the work of others, produce analytical results in a timely manner and take corrective personnel actions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
• Must possess proficient math skills.
• Knowledge of theory and principles of chemistry.
