Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a full-time Quality and Standards Lab Supervisor at its St. Marys, PA location.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and leads the Quality Assurance and Standards Lab operations. You will oversee lab personnel, drive quality improvements, support production with testing, coordinate audits, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiar with IATF 16949.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain operation and personnel of the Quality Assurance and Standards Lab at the St. Marys facility.
• Identify and assure follow-up of internal quality problems.
• Coordinate training of lab personnel.
• Assist Engineering, Tooling and Production personnel in developing and evaluating process techniques and related test procedures.
• Ensure lab personnel are technically competent to support production.
• Coordinate the completion of quality and engineering submissions (PPAP, etc.).
• Act as a knowledge resource for testing equipment.
• Assist all facilities on tool inspection and storage issues.
• Maintain Production and Quality SPC Systems.
• Identify and develop data interfacing opportunities.
• Identify and develop innovative inspection methods.
• Participate in Customer and 3rd Party audits.
