Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking a full-time Quality Engineer at the Lewis Run, PA facility. The role reports to the Quality Manager and focuses on APQP/PPAP, SPC, control plans, and continuous improvement.

Candidates should have ASQ CQE or equivalent, strong skills in reading blueprints and data analysis, and solid PC proficiency. This position emphasizes teamwork and compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree, ASQ CQE, or equivalent experience is required.
• Ability to read and understand written documents and procedures.
• Basic math, decimals, fractions and statistics knowledge.
• Proficient with computers and software for data recording.

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Quality Engineer who will be working in our Lewis Run, PA location. This person will report to the Quality Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Address customer concerns as assigned.
• Perform PPAP submissions and associated documentation
• Develop Control Plans as assigned.
• Participate on APQP teams.
• Provide active input to continuous improvement objectives.
• Thorough understanding of SPC principles.
• Gather samples, collect data, record and interpret results.
• Write and interpret inspection plans.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Assist in developing procedures and writing reports.
• Work compatibly with all associated groups.
• Prioritize work based on departmental guidelines.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Act as liaison and be familiar with IATF 16949, and ISO 9001.
• Actively participate in the training of others and aid in the evaluation.
• Thorough understanding of all processing steps in the powder metal process.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree, ASQ CQE, or equivalent experience is necessary for this position.
• Able to read and understand written documents and procedures.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, use math formulas and solve basic equations.
• Has an understanding of decimals, fractions, percentages and averages, as well as statistical techniques.
• Able to legibly record process/product data and records.
• Has good knowledge of personal computers and software.
