Job summary

Legacy Nursing is seeking a QA / Staff Development Nurse to oversee nursing programs and quality initiatives, ensuring policies and practices are in place and effective. Responsibilities include staff training, competency completion, and contributing to the resident care plan.

The role requires organized training schedules, involvement in surveys, and collaboration with all departments to drive quality improvement and staff education within the facility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• Current valid LPN/LVN or RN license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing programs and quality initiatives to ensure policies, procedures, and practices are in place and effective.
• Train staff and complete competencies regarding quality initiatives and best practices.
• Audit nursing programs for completeness and accuracy and identify areas needing guidance or training.
• Develop and implement quality initiatives to achieve positive resident care outcomes.
• Source current literature from reliable sources to enhance staff training and tools used in training.
