Job summary

Smurfit WestRock seeks a Manager I, Quality at the Evadale Mill to lead root-cause investigations of customer complaints and drive corrective actions. You will communicate technical results to customers and internal teams, audit processes, and monitor quality metrics to prevent issues.

The role requires strong analytical skills, field service experience of 5+ years, and the ability to partner with mill personnel on continuous improvement initiatives. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline strongly preferred; pulp/paper industry experience is a plus.
• Strong statistical, analytical, and diagnostic problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Minitab; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate field complaints to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Generate technical responses for customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with mill personnel to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
• Provide quality and technical consultations and perform audits.
• Monitor process data and machine conditions to prevent complaints.
• Communicate findings to customers and internal groups clearly.
