Job summary

AWT Labels & Packaging in Anaheim, CA, is seeking a Rewind Operator to support our label production lines. You will monitor rewinding, perform QC checks, and maintain throughput while adhering to safety and quality standards.

We value detail orientation, teamwork, and basic equipment maintenance skills; previous printing experience is a plus. Hours are Mon-Fri, 1:30pm–10:00pm, with production-driven adjustments as needed.

The schedule for this position is Mon. - Fri., Hours are - 1:30pm - 10:00pm. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements.

Required Job Duties

• Perform daily rewinding inspections as required to meet the company standards and individual job specifications.
• Monitor the rewinding process to maintain high-quality finished products.
• Understand machine capabilities to achieve optimum quality, throughput, and waste minimization.
• Perform Q.C. checks according to Quality checklist to ensure accuracy of job specifications.
• Ability to be aware of deadlines and evaluate orders to meet commitments.
• Responsible for proper handling of all supplies associated with the rewinding and packaging process.
• Adhere to existing work instructions/processes and contribute ideas and recommendations for continuous process improvement.
• Update job status in system database.
• Maintain a very organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Participate in a continuous learning environment and adjust to new objectives as necessary.
• Be able to work at times under high-pressure situations and deadlines.

General housekeeping to include but not limited to; sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, cleaning of work surfaces and other applicable duties to keep the production area clean and organized

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Good troubleshooting skills
• Detail oriented
• Possess a cooperative team attitude, good listening skills, open-mindedness and receptiveness to feedback.
• Basic knowledge and/or experience maintaining equipment.
• Machine aptitude is a plus
• Printing Experience a plus

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Experience in a label printing operation is a plus
• Basic understanding of Word, Excel, E-mail programs

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 50 pounds without aid
• Move/handle up to 250 pounds with aid
• Exposed to intermittent noise levels approaching 100 decibels
• Use of harsh chemicals (isopropyl alcohol, petroleum-based imaging oil)
• Exposure to modest amount of ozone
• Exposed to flashing lights needed for inspection
