Job summary

Valeo seeks a Quality PTM (Project Quality Engineer) to drive quality in projects, define APQP/derivables, and monitor metrics to meet customer and Valeo targets.

You will manage quality costs, track milestones, detect risks, and escalate issues as needed. The role involves collaboration across design reviews, supplier quality, and change management to ensure robust QMS and successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of quality experience in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC.
• Customer interface experience with OEMs.
• Experience with QRQC and 8D problem solving.
• Ability to manage quality in projects and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Manage project quality and set/monitor APQP derivables.
• Define the quality cost of the project and follow customer milestones.
• Detect risks and prevent problems from cradle to grave.
• React to risks and escalate roadblocks to the organization.
• Ensure customer project milestones are respected.
• Maintain build-in quality and track Critical/Important Characteristics.
• Collaborate on DFMEA/PFMEA and ensure lessons are applied.
• Participate in design reviews with suppliers and tool makers.
• Update quality documents after product/process changes.
• Lead QRQC meetings and ensure proper issue tracking.
