Job summary

Altium Packaging in Memphis is seeking a Quality Leader to oversee quality, process and business improvement efforts. You will interact with customers and suppliers on quality and performance issues, and may supervise staff to implement policies within the quality function.

The role requires 3-5 years of quality experience, GMP compliance, and hands-on use of quality tools (SPC, DOE, Centerlining, Control Plans).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of quality experience required
• Experience with GMP standards and QA testing
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
• Ability to train and mentor technicians
• Occasional travel to customer sites

Responsibilities

• Champion a safety culture and ensure a safe work environment.
• Sets goals and objectives for team members and assists with their accomplishment.
• Audit facility for GMP compliance and maintain plant in compliance with corporate quality requirements.
• Ensure testing standards, procedures, and equipment provide reliable results and prevent shipment of defective products.
• Lead problem-solving and process improvement with the plant and the customer to resolve issues.
• Train, mentor and develop technicians in quality tools (SPC, DOE, Centerlining, Control Plans).
• Visit customer sites to understand processes and assist with quality problem-solving.
• Comply with regulatory agencies and company quality standards.
• Utilize statistical methods such as CPK to measure performance.
• Maintain calibrated testing laboratory equipment and accuracy of results.
• Support successful new product launches with clear specifications and process capability.
• Analyze processes to drive continuous improvement through measurement and actions.
• Assist with hiring and development of staff.
