Job summary

Vylor Inc. in Grimes, IA is seeking a Quality and Process Improvement Analyst Intern to join our seed operations team.

You will collaborate with warehousing and engineering staff to analyze processes, collect performance metrics, and contribute to pilot and deployment of improvement initiatives. You will summarize learnings and present findings to stakeholders, supporting safe, efficient handling of seed receiving, cold room operations, and packaging.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the warehouse team to analyze and improve processes in warehouse operations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct data analysis and gather performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in the design and layout of warehouse facilities to optimize storage, workflow, and safety.
• Contribute to the documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
