Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Johnston, Iowa is seeking a Quality Innovation Intern to join the Global Seed Operations Quality team for May–August 2027.

You will design experiments, analyze data from imaging systems, sensors, and other diagnostics, and support machine-learning driven seed-classification efforts under expert guidance. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and data analysts to prototype new tools and workflows, maintain rigorous records, and present findings to the team and business

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
Strong interest in agricultural innovation, seed technology and data-driven problem-solving.
Ability to collaborate across technical disciplines and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Experimental design and innovation: plan and document experiments evaluating seed quality with emerging technologies.
Data analysis: organize and interpret data from imaging systems, sensors, and diagnostic platforms.
Machine-learning support: assist with data prep and evaluation for ML or automated seed-classification use cases.
Cross-functional collaboration: work with scientists, engineers, and analysts to prototype new tools and workflows.
Documentation and quality: maintain records and communicate risks, findings and next steps.
Project presentation: present findings and recommendations to Global Seed Operations Quality and partners.
