Job summary

Vylor is seeking a Quality Innovation Intern to contribute to the global seed-quality testing program in Johnston, Iowa. You will design experiments, analyze data from imaging and sensors, and explore ML-driven seed-classification under expert guidance.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and data analysts to prototype new tools and workflows, maintain thorough documentation, and present actionable findings to the Global Seed Operations Quality team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in a related field with interest in seed science.
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Curiosity, initiative, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Availability to work in Johnston, Iowa, from May to August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, execute, and document seed-quality experiments using emerging technologies.
• Analyze imaging and sensor data to identify patterns in seed health and quality.
• Assist with data preparation, testing approaches, and evaluating ML or automated seed-classification.
• Collaborate with lab leaders, scientists, engineers, and data analysts on new tools and workflows.
• Maintain clear records and communicate risks, findings, and next steps.
• Present findings and recommendations to the Global Seed Operations Quality team.
