Job summary

Tempur Sealy is seeking a quality-focused engineer to improve foam quality and drive variation reduction across manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with operations to address production issues and participate in new product development, with a focus on Safe Launch planning.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Engineering with Lean/Six Sigma exposure and experience in Minitab/JMP. This on-site role in Albuquerque offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within our global

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 1–2 years of related experience.
Business acumen and ability to partner with Operations.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Advanced knowledge of PC usage including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with 5S, Lean and Six Sigma principles; Green Belt preferred or obtainable within first year.
Minitab or JMP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Apply analytical tools to drive foam quality improvement and reduce process variation.
Perform internal scrap cost analysis and lead scrap reduction projects.
Support Quality Technicians with production issues using problem-solving techniques.
Participate in new product/process development and Safe Launch planning.
Monitor supplier performance to improve incoming quality.
