Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Sterling Heights, MI leads Quality Operating System initiatives within the production department. You will drive cross-functional quality improvements, manage documentation, and ensure traceability and containment actions to prevent defects from reaching customers.

The role requires hands-on manufacturing quality experience with 8D, FTT, SPC, and GD&T; Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus. Collaborate with Machining, MP&L and VO teams to achieve zero-defect goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years in manufacturing engineering preferred.
• Proven problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Review quality issues with production leaders and act as liaison with Machining, Quality, and MP&L.
• Coordinate containment actions to avoid impact to customers.
• Maintain traceability records for quality actions.
• Manage quality documentation (FTT, 8D, Scrap, Dock Holds, Dock Audit).
• Lead cross-functional quality initiatives to achieve zero defects.
