Job summary

South Texas Health System seeks a professional to support its system-wide Performance Improvement program. You will participate in six sigma quality projects, conduct CMS core measure data collection, and develop action plans with stakeholders.

You will prepare core measure reports, conduct reviews, and communicate results to committees. The role includes training staff, supporting meetings, and promoting continuous improvement across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in nursing or related field, or 5+ years in Quality.
• Texas license or compact state license for RN; BLS on hire.
• Strong written and verbal communication; willing to travel between facilities.
• Commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate system-wide Performance Improvement program.
• Participate in six sigma quality projects and QC functions.
• Collect CMS core measure data across STHS facilities.
• Analyze data and create action plans with stakeholders.
• Generate monthly core measure reports for improvement tracking.
• One-to-one contacts with nursing staff and physicians in areas of improvement.
• Assist with meeting prep, presentations, and material assembly.
• Perform mortality reviews and other focus reviews as assigned.
• Promote PI activities and coach continuous improvement across the system.
• Understand scorecards and linkages to quality studies.
