Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health in Washington DC seeks an experienced Quality Peer Review RN for a full-time role. You will implement hospital quality assurance and improvement initiatives, collect and analyze data, and support regulatory compliance across the hospital staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating peer review activities, reporting trends, and ensuring accurate documentation for leadership committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) required.
• DC RN License required.
• Minimum two years’ experience in hospital surgery department, surgery clinic, clinical research or medical records. Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required.
• 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Experience with databases, data entry and/or database management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report quality and performance data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of potential risk.
• Coordinate and support nursing and medical staff peer review activities, including case review, documentation, tracking, and follow-up.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of hospital-wide quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to address identified quality concerns and improve patient outcomes.
• Support compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational quality standards through ongoing monitoring and readiness activities.
• Maintain accurate quality and peer review records and prepare reports, summaries, and performance metrics for appropriate committees and leadership.
