Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Quality Operations Specialist to translate FAA requirements into practical quality processes for a demanding aviation program and certified repair station operations.

You will develop conformity packages for the 525 program, maintain QMS docs, support regulatory requirements, and drive RCCA and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams; this contract role offers a 9/80 schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7–10 years of experience in aviation quality is preferred.
• Experience within a 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station.
• Ability to develop and write internal processes and procedures.
• Experience developing training classes and instructional materials.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulatory requirements.
• Experience with corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and project management techniques.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Visio.

• Update and revise standard Repair Station and ARD training materials in Brain Shark.
• Track, monitor, and update Commercial Quality Escape RCCA activities.
• Develop Drug and Alcohol Random Testing procedures for repair station operations.
• Create and revise procedures for adding CPR/BPR warehouse operations to the QMS.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives and RCCA efforts.
• Coordinate risk evaluation and mitigation activities.
• Apply corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies, including statistical analysis and project management techniques.
• Perform responsibilities per company policies and guidelines.

Your Impact

As a Quality Operations Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting quality and regulatory compliance for an aviation program and certified repair station operations.

You will develop conformity packages for the 525 program, maintain and improve Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, support FAA regulatory requirements, and work with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.

This position is ideal for an experienced quality professional who can work independently, navigate complex regulatory requirements, and transform those requirements into practical procedures, training, and quality systems.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Develop conformity packages supporting the 525 program.

• Maintain, update, and revise Quality Management System procedures to support regulatory compliance.

• Develop, revise, and maintain processes, procedures, and program plans within the QMS.

• Update and revise procedures supporting certified repair station operations.

• Revise the Repair Station Training Manual.

• Revise the Repair Station Quality Manual to incorporate the Flight Research Center.

• Develop a common FAA technician roster procedure supporting all repair stations.

• Update and maintain training records for repair station employees.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.

• Previous experience working within a 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station.

• Experience developing and writing internal processes and procedures.

• Experience developing training classes and instructional materials.

• Strong understanding of FAA regulatory requirements.

• Experience with corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Knowledge of statistical analysis and project management techniques.

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Visio.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders and government agencies.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently with minimal oversight.

• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

• Action-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a quality-focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates will stand out with:

• Extensive experience supporting aviation or aerospace quality operations.

• Hands-on experience maintaining or improving a Quality Management System in an FAA-regulated environment.

• Experience creating or revising Repair Station Quality and Training Manuals.

• Experience supporting regulatory audits, conformity activities, or compliance initiatives.

• Strong background in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and risk mitigation.

• Experience developing or maintaining digital training content, including familiarity with Brain Shark.

• Demonstrated success collaborating with engineering, operations, quality, training, and regulatory teams.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $48.00 per hour
