Job summary

Standard Process Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a qualified lab professional to perform microbiology-based testing of products and environmental samples, ensuring GMP/GLP compliance and accurate data reporting. You will generate and revise SOPs, review testing data in LIMS, and support investigations as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in biology-related fields or 3 years of analytical-lab experience, with ASQ Preferred. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field preferred, or 3 years of experience in an analytical lab.
• ASQ Quality Improvement Associate preferred.
• Experience in a microbiology lab preferred; Quality Control environment preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook; strong communication and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Test products and environmental swabs for bacteria (coliforms, E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Listeria, etc.).
• Test products for allergens (Gluten, etc.).
• Safely work with relevant bacteria and review/authorize testing data in LIMS.
• Generate GMP and GLP documentation and revise SOPs, documents and logs as needed.
• Perform instrument verifications and calibrations and maintain lab supplies inventory.
• Participate in team projects, such as validation of new lab procedures.
• Verify product safety and labels and perform organoleptic testing as required.
• Sample environmental swabs, products or raw materials as needed and assist investigations of lab nonconformances per ISO.
