Job summary

Standard Process Inc. is seeking a Microbiologist I to join our Wisconsin lab team. You will test products and environmental swabs for bacteria and allergens, work with relevant organisms, and review data in LIMS to support quality systems.

The role requires a biology/ microbiology background with QA)/QC experience, proficiency in MS Office, and strong teamwork. Typical work hours align with facility shifts, with occasional weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field preferred, or 3 years in analytical lab setting.
• ASQ Quality Improvement Associate certification preferred.
• Experience in a microbiology lab preferred.
• Experience in a Quality Control environment preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Test products and environmental swabs for bacteria (coliforms, E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Listeria).
• Test products for allergens (Gluten, etc.).
• Safely work with relevant bacteria and maintain lab safety.
• Review and authorize testing data in LIMS.
• Generate GMP & GLP documentation and revise SOPs/logs as needed.
• Perform instrument verifications and calibrations.
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies.
• Participate in team projects and new lab procedures validation.
• Verify product safety and labels.
• Perform organoleptic testing on products.
• Sample environmental swabs, products or raw materials as needed.
• Assist investigations of lab nonconformances in accordance with ISO.
