Job summary

Kraft Heinz Davenport Plant is seeking a microbiology technician to support 3rd shift. You will perform routine microbiological testing of product and environmental samples, document results, and support quality programs to ensure safety and compliance.

Follow GLPs and GMPs, maintain a clean lab, and communicate findings to Quality and Production teams while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Science-related education or experience in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or related field.
• Previous laboratory or microbiology experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and perform laboratory testing procedures accurately.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Able to work a 3rd shift in a manufacturing lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological testing of product and environmental samples.
• Document and review laboratory results accurately.
• Perform aseptic techniques, dilutions, plating, and media prep.
• Identify and escalate OOS results or test deviations.
• Maintain GLPs/GMPs and a safe laboratory environment.
• Participate in proficiency testing and internal audits.
