Job summary

Danfoss Louisville plant is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen product quality, improve manufacturing performance, and drive continuous improvement across operations. You will partner with operations, engineering, sourcing, and suppliers to identify opportunities, solve quality challenges, and implement sustainable improvements.

The role uses structured problem-solving and quality tools to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with metrology, gauging and calibration system management experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environments; metal stamping/pressing and assembly operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FMEA, 8D, RCPS, SOP, and blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Axapta or SAP).
• Computer literacy and strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive meaningful changes.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify process risks, implement preventive actions, and improve operational performance.
• Strengthen quality systems through audits, documentation management, and compliance activities that support industry and customer standards.
• Apply quality and continuous improvement tools to analyze performance data, drive decision-making, and deliver measurable business results.
• Coach and support employees in quality methods and best practices, helping build capability and a culture of continuous improvement.

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening product quality, improving manufacturing performance, and driving continuous improvement across our operations. What We're Looking For
