Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen product quality, improve manufacturing performance, and drive continuous improvement at our Louisville site. You will partner with operations, engineering, sourcing, and suppliers to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

You will apply structured problem‑solving methods, lead audits, and coach teams in quality best practices, embedding a culture of continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with metrology, gauging and calibration system management.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments; metal stamping/pressing and assembly ops preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FMEA, 8D, RCPS, SOP, and blueprint reading.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Axapta or SAP).
  • Computer literacy and strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive meaningful changes.

  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for customer and manufacturing quality issues.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify process risks, implement preventive actions, and improve operational performance.
  • Strengthen quality systems through audits, documentation management, and compliance activities that support industry and customer standards.
  • Apply quality and continuous improvement tools to analyze performance data, drive decision‑making, and deliver measurable business results.
  • Coach and support employees in quality methods and best practices, helping build capability and a culture of continuous improvement.

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in strengthening product quality, improving manufacturing performance, and driving continuous improvement across our operations. What You’ll Be Doing

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with metrology, gauging and calibration system management experience
