Job summary

Danfoss Louisville manufacturing site is seeking a Materials Manager to ensure smooth material flow from receiving to production and outbound distribution. You will lead warehouse, inventory, and internal logistics, driving safety, operational excellence, and on-time delivery for customers.

You’ll develop a high-performing team, partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and cross-functional groups to improve material flow and reduce disruptions, and champion lean thinking and continuous

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years warehouse management experience.
  • Axapta and SAP experience is a plus.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining a WMS.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead warehouse, inventory, receiving and internal logistics to ensure materials are available and delivered safely.
  • Develop and coach team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Drive inventory accuracy with strong controls and cycle counting.
  • Partner with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and on-time delivery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

The Impact You'll Make

As a Materials Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials from receiving through production and outbound distribution at our Louisville manufacturing site. Your leadership will directly support safety, operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery for our customers. In this role, you will lead warehouse, inventory, and internal logistics operations while developing a high‑performing team focused on continuous improvement. By optimizing material flow and inventory management, you will help enable efficient manufacturing operations and support business growth. You will also be a key driver of lean thinking and operational excellence, creating a culture where safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead warehouse, inventory, receiving, and internal logistics operations to ensure materials are available when needed and delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and coach team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive inventory accuracy through effective warehouse management practices, cycle counting, and strong inventory controls.
  • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and cross‑functional teams to improve material flow, reduce disruptions, and support on‑time customer delivery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across warehouse operations.
What We’re Looking For

Required Qualificiations:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years Warehouse Managing experience.
  • Axapta and SAP experience a plus
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining WMS (Warehouse Management System)
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook)
