Job summary

Witco Inc. is a precision CNC Turning, Milling, and Gear Cutting company serving global industries, including Aerospace and Medical.

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA team and work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales to ensure on-time delivery and continuous quality improvement. The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001:2008, ITAR awareness, and hands-on inspection expertise with CMM, GD&T, and other metrology tools.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and organization abilities.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Proficient with ERP software and Microsoft Office.
• Comprehensive understanding of AS9100 and/or ISO9001:2008.
• Awareness of ITAR compliance.
• Advanced understanding of high tolerance aerospace parts and inspection tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Expert use of measuring and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality team including CMM programmers, quality engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with management to set objectives, direction, metrics.
• Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales to ensure on-time delivery.
• Conduct inspection layouts and read prints; improve throughput.
• Provide departmental reports to Executive Committee and General Manager.
• Analyze metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in corrective actions and issue resolution.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve quality issues.
• Oversee measurement equipment inventory and recommend improvements.
• Propose quality improvement projects.
• Engage in hands-on activities as needed.

Job description

The Quality Assurance Manager is an essential member of the management team and is responsible for overseeing the activity of the quality assurance department.

Witco Inc. is a precision CNC Turning, Milling, and Gear Cutting company that services various global industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Defense, Metal Mining, Oil and Gas and Outdoor Sporting Goods. We are a short run facility with typical build sizes ranging from 10-pieces to 500-pieces.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage quality team of CMM programmers, quality engineers and technicians.
• Work within a management team to establish organizational objectives, direction, strategies and metrics.
• Interface with Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales to ensure on-time delivery.
• Conduct inspection layouts, read prints, improve inspection throughput.
• Departmental reporting to the Executive Committee and General Manager.
• Analyze departmental metrics and implement appropriate actions.
• Participate in corrective actions and issue resolution.
• Communicate professionally and proficiently with customers and vendors to resolve quality issues.
• Oversee measurement equipment inventory and make recommendations for improvements.
• Recommend quality improvement projects.
• Engage in hands-on activities as needed.

Details:

• Full Time Employment with an Excellent Benefits Package
• Monday – Friday 6:00am – 4:30pm, with some Saturday mornings required
• Lunch 12:00pm – 12:30pm
