Staffworks Group is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality operations within a CNC machining and manufacturing environment. This role oversees the Quality Control Inspection team and owns compliance with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100, while driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone comfortable on the floor, in audits, and partnering with production and engineering.
What You’ll Do
Quality Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop Quality Control Inspectors and quality personnel
- Assign inspection priorities for in-process and final inspections
- Review inspection results and support disposition of nonconforming material
- Conduct performance reviews and support team skill development
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards
- Prepare for and lead internal, customer, and third‑party audits
- Manage calibration programs for inspection and measurement equipment
- Ensure documentation, records, and inspection data are audit‑ready
Manufacturing & Cross‑Functional Support
- Serve as the quality liaison between production, engineering, and leadership
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process changes
- Communicate quality metrics, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Lead corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100
- Experience leading audits, corrective actions, and quality initiatives
- Background in CNC machining or manufacturing environments
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred
- Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience
- GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodology knowledge
- Experience supporting NPI and process optimization
