Job summary

Thermal Care, Inc. in Niles, Illinois, is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality function, sustain the quality philosophy, and maintain the Quality Management System for Thermal Care and externally as Supplier Quality Assurance.

The role reports to the Director of Operations and focuses on internal and external audits, corrective/preventive actions, supplier collaboration, and quality issues in new product development and design reviews, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (or related field) and 10+ years of direct work experience.
• Up to six years of direct supervision experience with one year of leadership responsibility.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and quality techniques.
• Experience as ISO Management Representative is required.
• Demonstrate leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the evaluation of finished products for quality and reliability.
• Lead internal and external audits, corrective/preventive action systems, and Management Review meetings as ISO management representative.
• Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System to ensure the levels of quality established through company goals and customer expectations are met.
• Collaborates with purchasing on the development and implementation of a supplier management strategy.
• Collaborates with engineering on new product development and design review for quality issues.
• Travels to suppliers to participate/lead in the function of Quality Liaison.
• Analyze and resolve process quality issues and needs as they relate to an organization’s process performance and adhering to quality requirements.
