Job summary

FEUER Powertrain North America, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the QMS, ensuring product integrity and compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. You will mentor Quality Engineering, Inspection and Metallurgical Lab teams, and partner with Process Engineering on PFMEAs and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes proactive problem solving (8D, 5-Why), data-driven decisions, and maintaining tight customer requirements integration while driving KPIs and audits.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Materials Science, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1-2 years experience in Quality Engineering
• Reliable and self-starting with a strong ethical and moral basis
• Excellent communication skills with strong proficiency in MS Office
• FMEA experience
• Strong understanding of quality control procedures (ISO 9001) and problem solving tools (5-Why, 8D, etc.)
• Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis / statistical methods

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the Quality Management System ensuring ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance
• Gage calibration planning and coordination
• Resource management and scheduling for Quality Engineering, Inspection Lab, and Metallurgical Lab
• Collaborative PFMEA ownership with Process Engineering
• Coordination of customer requirements and integration into the QMS
• Scheduling and coordination of internal and external audits (IATF 16949)
• Manage resolution of external and internal issues using structured problem solving tools (8D, 5-Why)
• Facilitate Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Monitor and integrate latest industry developments in Quality Management strategies
• Mentor and develop team members
• Monitor and report KPIs for Quality Department
