Job summary

FEUER powertrain North America, Inc. seeks a hands-on Quality Manager to lead the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

You will oversee Quality Engineering, Inspection, and Metallurgical Lab resources, align with Process Engineering, and drive PFMEA ownership and data-driven problem solving. Responsibilities include coordinating gage calibrations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring staff, and ensuring product integrity for

Qualifications

• B.S. in Materials Science, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1-2 years experience in Quality Engineering
• Reliable and self-starting with a strong ethical and moral basis
• Excellent communication skills with strong proficiency in MS Office
• FMEA experience
• Strong understanding of quality control procedures (ISO 9001) and problem solving tools (5-Why, 8D, etc.)
• Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis / statistical methods

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the Quality Management System ensuring ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
• Gage calibration planning and coordination
• Resource management and scheduling for Quality Engineering, Inspection Lab, and Metallurgical Lab
• Collaborative PFMEA ownership with Process Engineering
• Coordination of customer requirements and integration into the Quality Management System
• Scheduling and coordination of internal and external audits (IATF 16949)
• Manage resolution of external and internal issues using structured problem solving tools (8D, 5-Why, etc.)
• Facilitate successful completion of Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Monitor and integrate latest industry developments in Quality Management strategies
• Mentor and develop team members within direct reporting structure and across the organization
• Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators for Quality Department
