Job summary

Lakeside Recruiting Solutions in Wisconsin seeks aQuality Manager to lead the quality program, ensuring ISO and customer requirements are met. You will direct the QMS and coordinate with production, engineering, and suppliers to maintain first-pass yield and robust control plans.

You will champion corrective actions, train inspectors, and oversee PPAP, PFMEA, and APQP activities, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years as Quality Manager in a machining/manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ISO or IATF Quality System; Lead Auditor training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality standards.
• Develop and maintain control plans, inspection criteria, and documentation (PPAP, APQP).
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities (5 Why, fishbone, 8D).
• Monitor quality metrics (scrap, rework, defects, cost of quality).
• Collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance to reduce variation.
• Oversee inspections and metrology calibration activities.
• Lead customer quality communications and supplier quality management.
