Job summary

Nelson Global is seeking a Quality Manager to lead plant quality across shifts, drive systemic corrective actions, and prevent defects through strong process control and daily management, ensuring consistent quality for customers.

You will own APQP/PPAP activities, maintain IATF readiness, and partner with operations, engineering, and suppliers to reduce defects, improve KPIs, and foster a culture of prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 5–8 years in manufacturing quality with leadership.
• Experience with OEM customers and quality issue resolution.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, QMS, 8D, PFMEA, and Control Plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily quality operations across shifts.
• Drive improvements for plant and customer quality performance (PPM, KPIs).
• Lead resolution of customer issues via 8D/A3 corrective actions.
• Drive systemic problem solving to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Maintain inspection, testing, and calibration systems.
• Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new and existing programs.
• Drive supplier quality performance and ensure timely response to issues.
• Maintain audits for IATF compliance and quality documentation.
