Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Quality Manager to establish and maintain the quality management system for construction projects. You will lead quality personnel, interface with clients and regulators, and drive continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include developing the PQP, creating ITPs, ensuring compliance with AWS, ASME, API, and other standards, and delivering quality reports to executives. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in quality control with 3+ years in a supervisory capacity
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, QA, or related field
• In-depth knowledge of quality systems and codes relevant to construction/industrial projects
• Proficiency with document control systems and quality software (Procore, ACC, Bluebeam)
• Proven leadership with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Strong QA/QC, documentation practices, and inspection techniques

Responsibilities

• Assign inspection tasks and manage team performance to ensure timely inspections and documentation
• Develop, implement, and manage the Project Quality Plan (PQP) aligned with client requirements
• Ensure work, materials, and processes meet project specs and codes (AWS, AISC, ASME, API, ASTM, ICC, ACI)
• Establish project-specific ITPs, procedures, and quality standards
• Generate quality performance reports, trend analysis, and metrics for teams
• Lead or support quality meetings, walkdowns, and turnover processes
• Maintain comprehensive quality documentation (inspection reports, NCRs, CARs, audits, certifications)
• Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement
• Serve as primary contact for client quality reps, third-party agencies, and regulators
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Quality Inspectors and Quality Engineers
